A selection of sunrises with one image from the Big Tree Forest Preserve. I was able to get out for sunrise fairly often, and I did hike some. I just didn’t find many good images along the trail. That may have been due, in part, to the excessive heat and humidity we’re having.
That image of the red sun is something I’ve been trying to get for years. At last I was able to get an exposure that got the red color right and still let me see the rest of the image. Happy camper I am.
I got out a fair bit, and so there is a greater variety of pictures. Some birds, some flowers, some waterfalls, some sunrises.
I got out some, as the weather permitted. The North Georgia Photography Club id one of our Tour d’Falls in Rabun county. It was a fun day. I also got a lot of good flower images in Bridle Ridge, again as the rain permitted.
A mix of things. I had a couple nice sunrises in among the rainy mornings, and I got some nice shots in the yard.
We had a number of nice sunrises early in the month. I managed to get to the lake to see them. This is the best color we’ve had in many months.
I had a busy month. I attended a workshop at the Great Smoky Mountains Institute at Tremont, then I spent a couple days hiking with the Sonny Day Hikers, I had a lot of blooms and stuff in the yard, and finally got a nice sunrise to end the month. All in all, a good month photographically.
I did get to the lake a few times. Not all sunrises were colorful, but I did get some abstracts I like of the puddles of pine pollen.
I did a bit more photography this month. A few sunrises and a trip to Gibbs Gardens.
I did very little photography in February due to a variety of factors. But I did get the required images of the daffodils in the front yard.
From late November to now has been a very, very slow time for my photography. The weather has not be conducive and my personal situation has not let me get out much. I did make it a point to get out for the lasty sunset of 2024 and the first sunrise of 2025. Both those times were quite cold and did not offer much to use to compose an image. We had one of our rare snowfalls, and I was able to make some good images from that.
