The best pictures I took during October. The first two are a sunrise at Lake Lanier, and the next four are a Yonah Trails Preserver outside Cleveland, Ga. Then follow a number of shots from the Cumming Fair. And lastly, an amazing sunrise late in the month, one of the all-time best IMHO.
November 2, 2018: After a few months of not being allowed to upload any pictures, the problem has been resolved. However, and this is still a significant problem, the thumbnail pictures are all quite out of focus. The actual pictures are sharp if viewed at full size. I sure hope I can figure out a solution quickly.
A variety of stuff from August 2018.
First, a set of mushroom shots from a venture to Chicopee Woods with the Sonny Day Hikers.
Then shots from the Greenway near Fowler Park, a daylily seedpod shell from the backyard, and some sunrises at Lake Lanier, with the lake some four feet above full pool.
A variety of shots from the yard, and one of reflections in Dick’s Creek.
This summer’s trip to Gibbs Gardens was a good as ever, with many interesting opportunities.
A day with the Sonny Day Hikers. We began at the parking lot for Ana-Ruby Falls, progressed to the falls, and then took the 4.5 mile trail down to the campground at Unicoi State Park. It was quite a hike, with numerous mushrooms (a fungus photo frolic?) and more than a few deadfalls to climb over.
A few blooms in my yard this summer:
Made a run to the garden before the rains came. Got a number of species I had never shot before.
A variety of places and things:
A great sunrise at Lake Laniter yielded one of my better sunrise compositions, at least in my opinion, and an interesting shot of grasses in the water. Then I went to UNG for the fireworks on the Fourth, and lastly the cannalilies bloomed in the front yard.
Various times and places: Gibbs Gardens for the first time in a long time, a couple of hikes and a nice Father’s Day sunrise at Lake Lanier.
